Mele Kalikimaka!! We love you and wish you a very happy holidays and an unforgettable new year.

Love, Kristie and Justin

(Above) Kristie opening gifts at her surprise shower, thrown by the wonderful women of our church group. (Right) The crib is up and ready!!

Here is "Christmas Kristie" out in front of our studio entrance. This time of year, when we celebrate the birth of a special baby, the Son of God, it is a unique holiday season in the Smith family as we get ready to welcome our soon-to-be-born baby shortly after the new year. It's a blessing to be expecting, and we are so grateful to our families and ward members that have been and are so loving and supportive in this next transition of life. Merry Christmas!

A first look at our soon-to-be-born baby. This ultrasound is about 2-months old, but still fun. It may be obvious, but this picture is rotated so he/she is looking at you, and rubbing his/her right eye with a little hand -- must be a little sleepy. This same ultrasound, we saw the baby swallow and yawn. Cute. We were thinking, "Wow; there really is something in there!"

Kristie (who dressed up as a Yankees fan for Halloween; Justin was a Red Sox fan, and they faught all night long) is shown here with Katie and her two cute girls, close friends of ours and neighbors.
These pics show one of our first weekends in HI where we toured the solemn grounds of Pearl Harbor (left, J & K with the USS Missouri in the background; on the right, Justin aboard the USS Arizona Memorial). God bless the brave men and women protecting and fighting for our freedom, and the freedom of others. Our prayers are with you.

Here it is folks! The latest shot of Kristie and her "belly." Inch by inch, I'm telllin' ya, she's growin'! Doesn't she look great. She is standing in front of the hotel window, where we recently celebrated our 3rd anniversary.

Look really close...see that cute, clapping, pregnant blonde in the middle? Yup, that's our girl performing in the Jubilee choir. BYU-Hawaii celebrated their 50th anniversary last week. There were a ton of fun events, Gladys Knight, fancy dinners, President Monson, a ball, and lots of music. Kristie performed at the closing extravaganza and at regional conference. She was awesome!

"What are you, an idiot?" That's what it looks like he's saying, huh. Two weeks ago, Chris Mullin, VP of Basketball Operations, and his Golden State Warriors held their 2005 training camp at the BYU-Hawaii facilities. They became my favorite team, at least while they were there.

First off, here is our beautiful little Kristie (though she wouldn't show her face) right around week 23. She's really startin' to pack it on, let me tell ya. To be honest, she didn't see any real weight-gain until she was about 22-23 weeks. The doc "prescribed" whole milk, which, to Kristie, is like vodka. More pics on our pregnant girl later...

Well, everyone has been wondering just how small our studio is. Let us take you on a little tour...and don't worry, it won't take too long. This is a shot of me outside the door of our studio. If you keep going down that hall behind me, you'd be walking towards the house the landlord lives in.

Come through our front door a little ways and look to your left, you'll see Kristie and the doorway into our kitchen. I'm taking this picture from our "bedroom" (or, more appropriately, our bed in the same room). This blog is 'G' rated, so no sneak peaks in that sacred wing.

Here's the kitchen. There's the kitchen. See the kitchen...oven-less.
And finally, the bathroom/shower. That door goes to our back yard. The lue is on the other side of the wall on the left.
