One of our first weekends was spent picking apples at an orchard in the valley. Here we are pulling down a few Granny Smith's...but we were also chompin' on some Honey Crisps, scarfin' a few Macintosh's, and cappin' it off with some Golden Delicious (all our favorite types).

A new chapter in the Smith family book (blog) has begun. It's official -- we are now Virginians. A one-week road trip across the country -- no problem. Non-stop movies, burgers, nuggets, snacks -- was that supposed to be hard for our kids? Somebody forgot to tell them because these rascals were ready to do that all over again the next week. It's like I could actually hear Kai say, "Okay, so I'm supposed to eat treats, watch movies all day, and eat in restaurants for 6 days in a row -- and that's all I have to worry about? I'm in."
